Waste Unloading Receipt
The Obligation of Unloading Receipt according to Marpol
All ships of 400 gross tonnage and above and every ship certified to carry 15 persons or more, and every fixed or floating platform engaged in exploration and exploitation of the seabed, must provide a Garbage Record Book, to record all disposal and incineration operations
Signed by the Collector company and countersigned by the Ship Master after the operation , the actual paper receipt succinctly summarizes the following elements :
* The name of the ship
* The place and date of unloading
* The quantity and type of waste collected
* The coordinates of the service suppliers
According to local Port rules, a photocopy will be then transmitted for archives or insertion into the port's IT system.
The commander will keep an original to justify the volumes of the oil or garbage record book of the ship in case of an inspection.
(see required certificates and documents to be carried on board ships)
Until now there has existed no other on-line system to realize these unloads and to also display one's respect of international conventions. By becoming a member of the internet site www.ship-waste.com, you will then have the possibility to manage on-line the wastes listed in the annexes 1, 2,4,5 and 6 and to benefit from a large number of web services aiming to simplify and optimize your unloading.
